Def might be slightly off

Presumably an annuity does not need to be annuitized because it already consists of a series of payments. The OED has just added this word with a subtly different def: "To convert (an investment) into an annuity or series of regular payments." Equinox ◑ 13:57, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
