How much of what is said in the usage notes is specific to backwards, and how much is true of -ward/-wards in general? I.e. how much could be offloaded to the latter two entries, with simple pointers from here (like the pointer from blonde to blond)? - -sche (discuss) 21:12, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'd figure that not much of it is specific to backwards. I'd bet that it's just a general trend in words with the suffix. Tharthan (talk) 15:21, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
