Are there any citations for this word? It appears to me to be a misspelling of the word braggart. — This comment was unsigned.

I too have suspected that it's usually a misspelling of braggart. The OED says that braggard is an older form (16th to 18th century). Equinox ◑ 23:14, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
