- RFV-closed as out of scope. There is no agreement on how to normalize capitalization of Latin adjectives and nouns referring to someone’s ethnic or politic origin – nor is it likely to be agreed upon that inclusion of such a Latin word in a particular capitalization should depend on the respective attestation. Fringilla was consequential in just using the lowercase always, as I suggested in that discussion. Though I have paid attention in the last year and noticed that 19th- and 20th-century Germans usually capitalized those Latin words like one now does in English.
