Italian for "tailor-made." SOP as fatto + su misura. Imetsia (talk) 16:21, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would tend to agree, but I see we have an entry made-to-measure (as well as made-to-order). Isn’t that then equally SOPpy?  --Lambiam 08:48, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't think so, because we don't have the English entry to measure. Without it, "made-to-measure" is not SOP because the meaning is not so obvious from its parts. In fact, a non-English speaker might intuit that it means "made for measurement" (of a tape-measure, ruler, etc.). Likewise, "made-to-order" is not so clear because it might be understood as "made to facilitate ordering" (of a pizza delivery app or something?). In the Italian, however, we do have su misura ("tailored, tailor-made"). So fatto su misura would be a sum of its parts, as well as just redundant ("made" + "tailored, tailor-made").
