Verification as English rather than Middle English. The quote in the entry is from the early 1400s, which is before our 1500 cutoff, and it's listed in the Middle English Dictionary entry for the word.

This seems to be based on a Century Dictionary entry, and Century Dictionary includes Middle English terms along with (modern) English. If this fails, it should be converted to a Middle English entry. Chuck Entz (talk) 18:46, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
