SOP. The only idiomatic definition, to "succeed after a lengthy attempt", should be moved to get. I also question the "after a lengthy attempt", it just means "to succeed", and can be used in "get somewhere", "get nowhere", etc. Benwing2 (talk) 00:03, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

- Keep the sense #2 as idiomatic enough. Keeping the figurative sense entails some mention of the more literal "arrive at a place" sense, however we want to handle that -- I mean, whether with &lit. Mihia (talk) 02:34, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
