Is it really established that Norwegian Nynorsk horr and Norwegian Bokmål hør are descendants of this word? Their meaning is nowhere near. The contemporary word for both flax and linen is lin in both languages.

Horr (normative spelling harr) is a fish. And hør is the imperative of høre which descends from Old Norse heyra.

The meaning in Bokmål is the same, it just wasn't added to Wiktionary yet. I added it now with some information. Nynorsk I don't know about, it's not in the Nynorsk dictionary. Supevan (talk) 15:06, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
