- Who would have guessed this means vegetarian hamburger? But then, why do we have that as an English entry? --Lambiam 07:52, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

- Historically, it should be an oxymoron and not SOP.
- Once and still now strictly speaking: hamburger = bread with meat and optionally some sauce or salad; vegetarian = without meat; vegetarian hamburger (oxymoron) = bread with meat and optionally some sauce or salad without meat = bread and optionally with some sauce or salad.
- Now broadly speaking: (ham)burger = bread and optionally with meat, some sauce or salad; vegetarian hamburger = bread and optionally with some sauce or salad but without meat.
- dictionary.com: hamburger' ("... sandwich ... beef ...") for example only has a strict definition. --B-Fahrer (talk)
- RFD-kept. You can try RFDing the English entry, and you might get more traction if it didn't exist... —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 03:41, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
