'Housewife' under the meaning of a bag for sewing things, is pronounced with a 'bus' sound in the first syllable, and an 'if' sound in the second syllable; the word stress is on the first syllable. Also the 's' in the middle has a 'zit' sound...I hope this makes sense - I don't know how to use the IPA symbols on my computer...zigzig20s 21:17, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
