The first time I came upon the word kinesthesia was in a biography about Margaret Mead where she was labeled a kinestetic because of her ability to cross-utilize her senses - such as being able to smell a color. People believed (or at least the author proposed) that her amazing ability as an anthropologist was enhanced by her kinesthesia.
- Actually, that's synesthesia (or synaesthesia). If kinesthesia were etymologically spelled, it and synesthesia would be homophones. I may should have to put that in. —Muke Tever 17:30, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
