How to tag this? Colloquial internet? Leet slang? Anything but hacker. Ah . . . I have it. -dmh 06:26, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Distinction edit

N00b has a different meaning from newb. While newb means someone who is inexperienced/new to an activity, n00b means someone who is just bad and is the word that is often used as a pejorative. I don't know what sort of thing you want as a citation, so anyone interested can Google the distinction. I know Ctrl-Alt-Del had a comic on this topic. 128.135.194.168 13:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC) N00b means, not necessarily someone who's new, but who won't admit that they're bad and are extremely annoying to more experienced people. COMPLETELY different from people who are just new and don't know any better.Reply
