Oppo research

As a short form of oppo[sition] research. I think "opponent research" is a folk/back etymology, if that, so I'm removing it. (See also ngrams.) Couple of examples of "oppo" [1] [2] Rich Farmbrough, 12:31, 4 October 2022 (UTC).

Also a military operation?

Thorne's slang dictionary says it can be a military operation. I can't find this in GBooks but it's hard because of partial-word scannos (opponent, etc.) and the other slang sense of a mate/friend. Equinox ◑ 19:59, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
