Possible missing obsolete slang sense: beer?

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) defines it as beer (not the perry drink given in our entry) and calls this a "dandy or affected shortening of the widely-known firm, Barclay and Perkins". Equinox 04:34, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
