Talk:practically

This should probably be better aligned with practical, all three adjectival definition of practical can be used adverbially as practically, plus the 'almost entirely' sense. Our first definition seems confused, the usex seems to be for the definition I've just added. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:00, 3 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Usage 1

edit

1. In practice; in effect. Not necessarily officially the case but what actually occurs. He was practically educated and lacked theoretical depth.

I don't think the example covers this meaning (it's more related to usage 3)

/ˈpɹæ?.li/

Recently I heard the pronunciation /ˈpɹæ?.li/, yet I do not know what phonological processes take place to end up with such a form. --Backinstadiums (talk) 14:13, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
