I don't get how this can be Spanish. In Spanish, the stress automatically falls on the second to last syllable. When this isn't the case, it must be signaled with an acute over the stressed vowel, but an acute isn't used on the penultimate syllable, because that's the default. Unless this word is an exception, or I'm misremembering the rule, this isn't Spanish. Any dictionaries have it with an acute? Mglovesfun (talk) 16:18, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Stress falls to the second to last syllable only if the word ends in a vowel, n, or s. If it ends in a consonant other than n or s, then the stress falls on the last syllable. Reptil is pronounced repTIL. In order to get REPtil, you have to add an orthographic accent. —Stephen (Talk) 16:29, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
