tattling vs telling edit

We should point that to tattle is more limited to the sense where the reporting is either for the purpose of getting the subject into trouble, or to curry approval from the authority figure. and is separate from telling which is reporting because it important for the authority figure to know or the activity is causing problems. —Roguebfl (talk) 16:43, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'd say "telling" is neutral. Tattling is one form of telling. Equinox 16:45, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is such a meaning similar to the third sense? If so, what meaning of idle is used in this definition? --Backinstadiums (talk) 12:34, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Return to "tattle" page.
