2014 citation

The 2014 noun citation refers to "the underspeak of [Noel Coward's] Brief Encounter". It would be nice to confirm that this does mean "understatement" and not e.g. "slang or language of the underclasses", which I suppose one might expect in a Coward play. Equinox ◑ 22:55, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
