Etymology

In the sense of moving to another place, could it not be from "sticks" in the sense of furniture? Hotten's Slang Dictionary gives the example of "pick up your sticks and cut!", having the same meaning. Equinox ◑ 11:26, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
