Vending machine?

Today I saw a (Coca-Cola) drink vending machine that said something like "this vendor goes into a power-saver mode when not in use"; so apparently vendor can mean "vending machine". Equinox ◑ 22:50, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Origins of 'to vendor'

I think it's from the practice of copying external dependencies to the `./vendor/` folder in your project. At least, that's the earliest plausible derivation I can find offhand, showing up in RoR around 2012. Not sure what to do with that though.
