Missing senses?

Chambers 1908 has "commendable" and "well-warranted, having good credit". The following citation might be either of these (i.e. financially solvent, or just a good man in general), but isn't either of the senses we have at present:

  • 2018, Joan Aiken, The Girl from Paris
    Your pa's a well-found man—a bit clutch-fisted, but there's nowt wrong wi' that, I'm the same road meself, all the more to put by for a rainy day []
