@Fay Freak: why are you treating Németh's 1956 records as ota and not dialectal tr? Vahag (talk) 18:20, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Vahagn Petrosyan: Well, you looked more at it as records of the present, he as remnants of something outlived and almost or soon gone. He also discussed some Ottoman sources, like Sami Bey’s popular one which, pursuant to 19th century and even more so Ottoman wont, was spoliated and hijacked even in the printing-plates as “Kelekian” (we wouldn’t have realized the latest edition without Vahagn though). The passage about it I read and acquired the impulse to create the template.
I also want to note that there is a thorough bibliography of Németh in Fünfzig Jahre Forschung zur türkischen Sprache – Ein bibliographischer Überblick 1950–2000 (2020), where they remark a shorter 1959 version about the Turkish in Albania, this book-list should become useful, in so far as 20th-century dumdums haven’t published as inaccessibly as yore De Lagarde. The 1928 cutoff for spoken Turkish is really meaningless... We should think of a better system one day. Vahag (talk) 20:50, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
