Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! RJFJR 14:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

redirects edit

See WT:REDIR. We don't use redirects here on Wiktionary the same way they do on Wikipedia. In fact, they are strongly discouraged. In it's an alternative spelling/form of a word, you should nevertheless create a complete entry (perhaps with {{alternative spelling of}} or {{alternative form of}} inside the definition line, in order to avoid content duplication). Cheers. --Ivan Štambuk 11:04, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks it did not feel good to use redirect here. I will correct it directly. Carsrac 11:08, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Please also take time to study the correct format of entries, by reading tutorials in the welcome message above. In particular, all of the entries should be formatted per WT:ELE. See how the wiki markup is used for Dutch parts-of-speech that are already present inside the Category:Dutch language and try to emulate their structure. --Ivan Štambuk 11:22, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
