Dostoyevsky wrote in Russian, so the date and quotation you've provided are not meaningful unless the translator and date of translation are given as well. --EncycloPetey 22:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I added the translator. The date (1866) is the date of the translation; I could not find the date the book was published in Russian. --Jacqke
