Usage notes

• The Russian pro-monarchy anti-communist side of the Russian Civil War, known as "White Russia", has nothing to do with Belarus or its people.
• Referring to Belarus as "White Russia" in the modern context often hints sympathy to the Russian imperialism and can be offensive to Belarusians. Similar to how Little Russia can be offensive to Ukrainians.
