Do AOL's proxies not include either the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR or HTTP_CLIENT_IP headers to reveal the client IP address? 82.3.29.8 01:58, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't know. I do not believe we have access to that information from here. The apache servers most likely can see that, but that is not the IP addr used in the "blocking" logic, so this work-around is used instead. --Connel MacKenzie T C 02:04, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Registered users

Why do registered users also have to see this message? Can't it be put in the MediaWiki template that is shown on top of the page for every anonymous user? Msikma 09:08, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm a registered user and not using AOL, nevertheless I see the {{Wiktionary:Main Page/AOL}} template at the main page. I would be nice to hide this for all non-AOL users. --Tunheim 15:38, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
