Relatedly, it's never made sense to me that you have to achieve consensus in RFD to delete an entry, but you also have to achieve consensus in the other way to recreate it. That's a weird and unacceptable asymmetry. Canonicalization (talk) 12:11, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't think that is related at all, to be honest. On a philosophical level, most entries that do not exist should not exist (that is, most permutations of valid inputs are not words in any language), and most entries that do exist should exist (that is, a very small fraction of entries should be sent to RFD or RFV). As for this vote, nobody "should" be an admin; it's an extra responsibility, and carries with it potential for unchecked misuse that this vote seeks to address. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 17:46, 15 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
