   Joanek abisatu digu. ― Joan has warned us. (Southern)

   Joanek abisatu gaitu. ― Joan has warned us. (Northern)

Usage notes

In Southern usage, the warned person is the indirect object and the verb takes a dummy direct object. In the North, the warned person takes the place of the direct object and there's no indirect object.
