- The difference between anillo and anilla: both translate as ring in English. anillo is for the jewellery, also the planetary ring, ring on a tree, bullfighting ring, building in a circular shape, geometrical ring, among others. anilla may refer to a curtain ring, ring on a shoe, a ring onto which to tie a rope, a ring put round a bird's foot for tracking (also known as anillo), a gymnastic ring, among others.
