Etymology edit

From Proto-Albanian *bōrei ulnā, compound of *bōrei (bow) and *ulnā (forearm). More at ber and llërë. For sense development, compare English elbow, compound of ell (ell), originally ‘forearm’, and bow.[1] See also ylber (rainbow), a mirror formation.
