Etymology edit
From Proto-Albanian *bōrei ulnā, compound of *bōrei (“bow”) and *ulnā (“forearm”). More at ber and llërë. For sense development, compare English elbow, compound of ell (“ell”), originally ‘forearm’, and bow.[1] See also ylber (“rainbow”), a mirror formation.
