buzzardet (plural buzzardets)

  1. (US, obsolete) A hawk resembling the buzzard, but with longer legs, possibly Buteo platypterus.
  2. (US, obsolete) A bird of prey mentioned in New England historical accounts, probably the osprey, Pandion haliaetus.
