cryptidine (countable and uncountable, plural cryptidines)

  1. (organic chemistry) One of the quinoline bases, obtained from coal tar as an oily liquid, C11H11N.
  2. (organic chemistry) Any of several substances metameric with, and resembling, cryptidine proper.
