Etymology edit

From Proto-Albanian *darja (pig), from *ǵʰóryos (pig) (compare Greek χοίρος (choíros, id)), from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰḗr (hedgehog), from *ǵʰer- (to be excited, bristly) (compare Latin horrere (to bristle, tremble)).[2][3]
