1. by all means!, absolutely! (used to encourage someone and show positivity)

   Já, endilega! ― Yes, by all means!

   Heyrðu endilega í mér. ― By all means, do call me.

2. (usually negative) necessarily

   Ekkert endilega. ― Not necessarily.

   Þarftu endilega að æfa þig á blokkflautuna núna? ― Is it absolutely necessary for you to practice the recorder right now?
