Etymology edit

Ancient Greek εὐ- (eu-, “well”) +‎ φῶς (phôs, “light”). So called because of its pleasing combination of white and green.

Noun edit

(mineralogy) A rock occurring in the Alps, consisting of saussurite and smaragdite.
