editLearned borrowing from Latin grammatica, ellipsis of ars grammatica, a partial calque of Ancient Greek γραμματική τέχνη (grammatikḗ tékhnē, “art of letters”), from γραμματικός (grammatikós, “of letters”). Doublet of grimório and glamour.
