From i-, a pronominal stem of is ‎(it”; “he”, “she”; “this”, “that) + the suffix -ha, -dha (compare the Ancient Greek -θα ‎(-tha) and the Sanskrit इह ‎(iha, here)) + -tur, an alternative form of -tus (compare Sanskrit तस् ‎(tas)), as in penitus, antīquitus, etc.
