Romani

edit- minzh, mizh (Anglicized)
- mindž (Pan-Vlax)
Etymology
editUncertain. Possibly borrowed from Old Armenian մէջ (mēǰ, “loins, belly, abdomen”). Alternatively, and more likely, inherited from Sanskrit मध्य (madhya), thus cognate with Hindi माँझ (māñjh, “in, inside”), Punjabi ਮੰਝ (mañjh, “in the middle of the body”) and Kashmiri مَنٛز (manz, “in, inside, within”).
Noun
editminʒ f (nominative plural minʒa)
