miniband (plural minibands)

1. (biochemistry) A short loop of nucleic acid
2. (physics) A periodic structure within a superlattice
3. (finance) A small percentage of the value of a currency by which it is allowed to fluctuate in a single day, as part of a policy to stabilize the currency.
