  1. (obsolete, physiology) The special properties and functions of the nerves; the nervous capacity for transmitting a stimulus.
    • 1859, George Henry Lewes, Physiology of Common Life, volume 2:
      This property is stimulated into activity by the Neurility of the nerves, but is not stimulated by those mechanical irritations which suffice to stimulate the nerves.
