  1. (automotive) a studded tire (usually plural: a winter tire fitted with studs for driving on icy and snow-covered roads)
    • Søndag 3 april er siste dagen du kan kjøre med piggdekk i Norge, med unntak av de tre nordligste fylkene. Fra mandag av må piggdekkene av. Sunday 3 April is the last day you can drive with studded tyres in Norway, with the exception of the three northernmost counties. From Monday the studded tyres must be removed.
