editFrom Polak (“Pole”) + -o- + żerca (“eater”) + -stwo (“-ness, -hood”). Originally coined as a term for the anti-Polish politic of chancellor of Prussia Otto von Bismarck. Nowadays, the term is used for all types of anti-Polish sentiment. Compare ludożerstwo (anthropophagy).
