  1. (Northern England or obsolete) puffed out; pudgy; fat
    • 1567, Thomas Drant, Horace his arte of Poetrie, pistles, and Satyrs, Englished and to the Earle of Ormounte:
      Thou shalt me fynde fat and wel fed,
      As pubble as may be.
