Furtive, hidden in beech groves and pine woods, the mushroom thieves enter the Navarrese mycological paradise in order to plunder their nature preserves of perretxicos, ilarrakas, and the quite precious queen bolete. Mostly Guipuzcoan, the mushroom thieves do not satiate their voracious appetite for gathering until they have completely filled their cloth bag, at which point they have forgotten the way back to the car and, paradoxically, are rescued by a Navarrese whose native mushrooms they are despoiling.
