  1. (sometimes impersonal) to splash (onto something), to scatter
    Hon skvätte vatten på sin kompis
    She splashed water on her friend
    Det skvätte vatten överallt när glaset krossades
    Water splashed everywhere when the glass shattered
    Det skvätte om hunden som skakade på sig
    The shaking dog was splashing water all around
    Vi måste lära katten att inte skvätta kattsand
    We must teach the cat not to scatter kitty litter
