From Proto-Albanian *tsak-tyo, from Proto-Indo-European *sokʷ-o- 'to utter, say'. Cognate with Latin inquit ‎(says), Serbo-Croatian sok ‎(accuser, prosecutor, witness), Old English sagu ‎(a saying, speech).
