Usage notesEdit
- The word is no longer considered colloquial by most and is used in all contexts, but even while (still) considered colloquial by some speakers, vessa is by no means a "dirty" word. One can ask for vessa almost anywhere without having to feel awkward. If one wants to be absolutely safe, miestenhuone (“men's room”) and naistenhuone (“ladies' room”) can be recommended.
