Etymology edit

Though the Andalusian Arabic is unattested, this Castilian form exposes typical Andalusian Spanish developments, avowing itself to be from a variant of Arabic سُوَيْدَاء (suwaydāʔ) as well as synonymously used Catalan sosa whence sosa and Italian soda whence soda.
