From the same stem as segli (“saddle”) (q.v.), made into a second conjugation verb (ending -ot).[1]

- to saddle (to attach a saddle to an animal, usually a horse)
- seglot zirgu ― to saddle a horse
- mans zirgs ir jau seglots, es dodos ceļā ― my horse is already saddled, I am going on my way (= departing)
- dēli, dēli, kur bijāt? seglojiet kumeliņus! ― sons, sons, where are you? saddle the colts!
