- (chiefly Netherlands) youth slang; in particular a youth slang spoken in the cities and larger towns of the Randstad, characterised by borrowings from English and immigrant languages such as Sranan Tongo and Maghrebin Arabic
- (chiefly Belgium) community language, the lingua franca that people use in everyday interactions
